Burnsville Natural Care Center Doubles Treatment Space

The Burnsville Natural Care Center School of Massage Therapy Teaching Clinic is nearly doubling its treatment space. The building is undergoing renovations that will add four treatment rooms; currently the clinic has six treatment rooms. Renovations are expected to be completed by Aug. 1.

The additional space was acquired when the Minnesota Chiropractic Association, which had been leasing building space from the university, ended its lease. "The timing couldn't be better," explains Dale Healy, D.C., dean of the School of Massage Therapy. "The program is growing and space was getting tight."

The School of Massage Therapy admits 50 students each September, and students begin clinical experience each January in the second trimester. "Fortunately, the added space became available," he says.

The Burnsville Natural Care Center is open to the public and is staffed by students of the School of Massage Therapy in their second and third trimesters.
