Northwestern Health Sciences University Graduates 36 Students in Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and Oriental Medicine

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The School of Massage Therapy and the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM) at Northwestern Health Sciences University held their fall commencement ceremonies on Dec. 13, 2008. The university presented 20 students with a certificate in massage therapy, as well as five students with a master's degree in acupuncture and 11 students with a master's degree in Oriental medicine.

The MCAOM commencement address was delivered by Huan Ma, Ph.D., L.Ac., associate professor at Northwestern. A video presentation created by graduate Kristianne Seelye was shown, featuring the graduating class.

The Massage Therapy commencement address was delivered by Rosie Ward, Ph.D., M.P.H., C.H.E.S., Certified Intrinsic Coach(r) and Health Management Consultant at RJF Agencies, Inc. The student greeting was delivered by Randy Matheus, a student from the graduating class.

The presidential greeting was presented by Mark Zeigler, D.C., president of Northwestern, at both ceremonies.

Northwestern Health Sciences University offers a wide array of choices in natural health care education including chiropractic, Oriental medicine, acupuncture, therapeutic massage and human biology. The university has nearly 900 students on a 25-acre campus in Bloomington, Minnesota.
