Few people pause to consider what it truly means to achieve success in their life.
If we fail to define success for ourselves and try to pursue someone else’s path, we’ll end up frustrated, unhappy and ultimately feeling deeply unsuccessful.
The path to success begins by asking yourself, What brings joy to my life? How do I wish to serve? How do I want to live my life? Who do I want to be?
You need to use your imagination; it is the key to living a fulfilled life, and you can use yours as a massage therapist.
Massage Therapy and Imagination
Little children are filled with imagination.
They can imagine anything they want, and it becomes real to them. They become super-man, bat-man, a princess, a baseball player, a singer, a dancer anything they can imagine.
Many adults have lost that piece of life. We have been taught to live from our logical mind, to play it safe and pay attention to the rules.
Your imagination is where the magic happens, that is where a seed of success is sown, and you reap the reward by keeping focused on your ultimate goal.
Imagine however you wish your life to be.
You have recently entered a new career, for many of you it feels like your life’s work.
Your passion and energy are ignited. You know you are in your right place.
Stop and pause for a moment, ten years from now what do you see yourself doing, who are you being?
Imagine the Life You Want
Start to use your imagination to envision the greatest life for you.
See it with a positive expectancy that you will get that if you take the right action steps that are needed to be done to get you to where you want to be.
You must get your mind and actions in alignment to your goals.
Use your imagination to see yourself living your ideal life now, see it with clarity, go forward in time and see how you look, your character, your finances, your professional life, your health, your spirituality, your inner abundance and your deep joy.
By going forward in time in your mind you can see what you want, once you do that you can see what you need to do to take you to where you want to be.
Ten years from now you will be more disappointed with the things that you could’ve done when you had the chance.
The Practice
You must assume the role of the person that you want to become and the massage therapy practice you wish to have today. Sit quietly and reflect on the following questions:
- If you could not fail – what would you do and who would you be?
- What does your professional life look like 5 years from now?
- If you had 2 million dollars – what would you do and who would you be?
- If you had one year to live – what would you do and who would you be?
